Tips for Infrequent Travelers

Step 1) Arrive at DEN at Least 2 Hours Prior to Boarding

Passenger drop-off is located on East and West Level 6 of the Terminal.

Whether you’re catching a ride or hopping on the train, there are a variety of ways to get to DEN. Transportation options include:

  • Denver Transit Center
  • Rental Cars
  • Taxi
  • Car Share (Turo/Avail)
  • Ride Share (Uber/Lyft)
  • Shared Van / Commuter Shuttle
  • Mountain Shuttle / Carrier
  • Limousine
  • Public Bus or A Line Train (RTD)
  • Bicycle

DEN has 9 parking lots, as well as a Cell Phone Lot that you can always check availability of on your day of travel.

Step 2) Arrive at Jeppesen Terminal

Jeppesen Terminal at DEN features 2.6 million square feet of space and includes passenger ticketing, baggage claim, ground transportation, international arrivals, shops and restaurants, office areas and the TSA security checkpoints.

Step 3) Find your Airline’s Ticketing Counter

Ticketing counters are located on East and West Level 6 of the Terminal.

Need to check a bag or print a boarding pass? Airline ticketing counters are located just inside of passenger drop-off. Find your airline’s counter location via our airline listings.

Step 4) DEN Has 3 Security Checkpoints: Bridge, South, and West Security.

Security wait times are estimates and are subject to change at any time. We suggest arriving at DEN no less than two hours before your boarding time.

Step 5) You’ll Depart from one of our 3 Concourses (Gates A, B or C)

Denver International Airport has three concourses (Gates A, B and C) beyond security screening that provide access to the airline gates.

The quickest route to Gate A is by utilizing Bridge Security on Level 6

Airlines located on A Gates are accessible by train from Jeppesen Terminal or by the passenger bridge, a unique walkway that spans a taxiway. The passenger bridge offers a closeup view of airplanes as they move to their gates. A Gates contain gates A26 through A87.

All international flights arrive at A Gates.

Dine-Shop-Relax in Concourse A

If your boarding pass shows a “B Gate” you should make your way to the B Gates onboard DEN’s Train to the Gates.

DEN’s B Gates feature a variety of restaurants and concessions. You can even gaze at Colorado’s Front Range from an outdoor deck on the western end of the B Gates.

In addition to Men’s and Women’s restrooms, you’ll find family restrooms, pet relief areas and mother’s nursing rooms.

If your boarding pass shows a “C Gate” you should make your way to the C Gates onboard DEN’s Train to the Gates.

DEN’s C Gates feature a variety of restaurants and concessions. You can stroll outside on the eastern end of the C Gates

In addition to Men’s and Women’s restrooms, you’ll find family restrooms, pet relief areas and mother’s nursing rooms.

Step 6) Take Advantage of Arriving Early and Explore DEN

With over 170 dining and retail options to choose from, your time at DEN will fly by! Grab a bite and beverage, pick up unique Colorado gifts and take in one of the largest airport public art collections in the world.
