Special Olympics to Host Annual ‘Plane Pull’ Fundraiser at Denver International Airport

DENVER – Aug. 2, 2018 – Denver International Airport (DEN) is proud to host the sixth-annual Special Olympics Colorado Plane Pull presented by Subway. Teams from across Colorado will race one another to determine who can pull a 164,000-pound plane, 12 feet across a tarmac in the shortest amount of time. Proceeds from the event will help Special Olympics Colorado provide year-round training, competitions and leadership programs for more than 24,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities in Colorado.

The Special Olympics Plane Pull is a competition among teams of up to 25 people. Teams are required to raise a minimum of $1,250 to participate. The event will include exhibits, vendors, food and entertainment. Prizes will be given for the fastest team time, slowest team time, best dressed team, top team fundraiser, top individual fundraiser, fastest law-enforcement team, and others.

The event will be hosted at Signature Flight Support, located at DEN. Space is still available for teams who want to test their strength for a good cause. To register, visit www.SpecialOlympicsCO.org.
