DENVER — Nov. 4, 2015 — Following years of anticipation, the Westin Denver International Airport hotel and conference center is nearly ready to open on Nov. 19 – but the public is invited to take an early look inside first. The hotel and the public plaza will be open to the public for a special preview event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. The sneak peek of the hotel includes the amazing views from the pool and fitness center, the Sky Lobby and the pre-function conference area. Outside on the stunning public plaza, there will be live entertainment, games, food vendors and even a temporary art gallery showcasing the project’s world-class art pieces. Entry to the event is free, and food will be available for purchase. “We know that travelers have seen the hotel rise from the ground for the last three years, and we are delighted to finally offer a sneak preview of the equally beautiful interior of this landmark project,” said airport CEO Kim Day. “This special preview event is our way of thanking the community we serve for their support and patience throughout the construction process and to showcase the offerings of this amazing facility.”
The entrance to the public plaza is located adjacent to the south TSA checkpoint on level five of the Jeppesen Terminal. Parking is available in the east and west garages and economy lots for $3 per hour or at the Pikes Peak shuttle lot for $2 per hour. The public plaza portions of the event will take place outdoors, so participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. In case of severe inclement weather the day of the event, participants should call 303-214-5639 for information about possible schedule changes.
Pre-registration is required for this event, and is available at https://westinsneakpeekevent.eventbrite.com.
