Parking Rates Change Starting May 14

DEN will increase parking fees at certain parking facilities and reduce the price of Premium Reserve parking starting May 14, 2025. The changes come as parking management and shuttle costs at DEN have increased by an average of 44.5 % over the last three years.

Most Airline Counters Move to Temporary Locations

DEN is temporarily relocating 24 airline check-in/bag drop counters as construction continues on the Great Hall Program. Between April 9 and June 30, the counters at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal’s east and west sides will be temporarily moving from Level 6 to Level 5. These airlines will remain on Level 5 in their temporary operation through mid-2027.

October Passenger Traffic Sets Record at Denver International Airport

DENVER — Dec. 3, 2015 — Denver International Airport (DIA) served 4,828,076 passengers in October, an increase of 4.6 percent compared to the 4,616,603 passengers in October 2014 – setting a record for the busiest October in Denver aviation history and marking the second consecutive month of record-setting traffic at DIA.

“October was the busiest month for United Airlines at Denver International Airport in the past five years, while Southwest Airlines saw its eighth consecutive month of double-digit passenger increases,” said airport CEO Kim Day. “We also continued to see strong growth among Delta, Spirit and American Airlines, as well as increased passenger traffic among foreign-flag carriers British Airways, Lufthansa, Icelandair and Volaris. In addition, Lufthansa announced that nonstop service to Munich will return to Denver next year.”

Year-to-date passenger traffic is now slightly up with 45,050,171 passengers compared to 45,045,563 passengers during the same timeframe in 2014. Overall international passenger traffic increased more than 3 percent in October.

Additionally, mail, freight and express cargo operations handled 47,815,499 pounds of cargo, a 0.5-percent increase in October compared to the same month last year. Year-to-date cargo totals 455,094,806 million pounds, which is a 7-percent increase over the same period in 2014.
