Parking Rates Change Starting May 14
DEN will increase parking fees at certain parking facilities and reduce the price of Premium Reserve parking starting May 14, 2025. The changes come as parking management and shuttle costs at DEN have increased by an average of 44.5 % over the last three years.

DEN is temporarily relocating 24 airline check-in/bag drop counters as construction continues on the Great Hall Program. Between April 9 and June 30, the counters at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal’s east and west sides will be temporarily moving from Level 6 to Level 5. These airlines will remain on Level 5 in their temporary operation through mid-2027.

DENVER, CO — August 27, 2013 — When snow begins to fall at Denver International Airport (DIA), up to 500 skilled snow removal operators form teams and hit the tarmacs, runways, roadways, and parking lots to keep operations moving. It’s one way maintenance crews ensure DIA remains one of the least delayed airports in the U.S. The media is invited to join DIA’s snow experts as they put their skills and talents to the test and kick off the snow season with the Aviation Snow Roadeo Competition on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

The annual Aviation Snow Roadeo serves as the kick-off to DIA’s snow removal season. In order to participate in each event, employees must complete a written test on the rules of the road (and airfield), a diagnostic vehicle inspection and a timed obstacle course. In addition to the snow roadeo, workers will complete more than a month of training, including courses on the snow removal plan, priority routes, severe weather awareness and specialized equipment training.
The snow roadeo obstacles test the operator’s ability to maneuver their vehicles by simulating roadway barriers or hazards. Some are tests of skill and agility that include using the blade under a grader to knock a softball off a holder into a basket, placing a bucket into a barrel with the bucket of a loader, mirror clearance maneuvering, plow target and backing into an alley dock.

The top three winners in each event of DIA’s Snow Roadeo Competition will go on to compete in the 33rd Annual Western Snow and Ice Conference and National Snow Roadeo in Estes Park, Colorado this Sept. The National Snow Roadeo tests the skills and knowledge of equipment operators from across America. DIA winners will compete with the best operators from cities, towns, and counties throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Last year, from Oct. 2012 to May 2013 there were 33 snow events at DIA totaling 78.4 inches of snow. By comparison, from Oct. 2011 to May 2012, there were 24 snow events for a total of 55.6 inches of snow.
