DENVER — May 13, 2014 — M·A·C cosmetics opened today in the center of the B Concourse at Denver International Airport, bringing premium makeup and other beauty products to airport travelers.
The New York-based cosmetics store offers a premium line of products that include M·A·C -branded liquids, powders, foundations, enhancers, lipsticks, pencils, shadows, markers, concealers, liners and shadows. The store also offers makeup tools, such as a variety of brushes.
“We continue to transform our concessions program to better serve our passengers, and are pleased to add M·A·C to our list of well-liked, recognizable national brands,” said Kim Day, Denver’s Manager of Aviation. “Our changes have already had an impact, as customers are spending more money in our facility, and that helps us to keep the costs to our air carriers competitive.”
The store will be operated by the joint venture DIA Health & Beauty, led by the DFASS Group and co-owner Jennifer Fiechuk. Fiechuk is certified under the FAA’s Airport Concessionaire Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) program, which ensures fair competition for women- and minority-owned businesses.
“M·A·C cosmetics is a brand known around the world for its quality and cutting-edge style,” Fiechuk said. “We’re incredibly excited to bring the M·A·C line of products, and the entire M·A·C experience, to the millions of travelers who pass through DIA every year.”
The store will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The store is one of dozens of new shops and restaurants being added to the airport as part of a major transformation of DIA’s concessions program. The airport expects to transform about 75 percent of its concession locations over a threeyear period, bringing customers a better mix of national brands and local flavors.
