Denver International Airport to Begin Upgrades on Pikes Peak Shuttle Lot

Home

DENVER – April 19, 2019 – Denver International Airport (DEN) has begun renovations on the Pikes Peak Shuttle Lot. The approximately $21 million capital improvement project includes new pavement throughout the lot, upgraded bus shelters with heat and air conditioning and relocated shuttle stops for a more efficient busing route.

The Pikes Peak Shuttle Lot has closed temporarily for renovations. The Mt. Elbert Shuttle Lot, normally used as an overflow lot, has become DEN’s primary $8 per day shuttle lot. Passengers who wish to park in a shuttle lot will be directed to Mt. Elbert, a short drive east of Pikes Peak. During busy times, portions of Pikes Peak may be used for overflow parking.

Parking rates and amenities, like the free drive-up bag drop, will be available at Mt. Elbert during this project. Construction is anticipated to last through the fall of 2019. Passengers who plan to park in a shuttle lot are encouraged to check FlyDenver.com, follow signs on Peña Blvd. and allow 30 minutes from the time they arrive in the lot to the time they arrive in the terminal.

DEN has a combined total of more than 17,500 shuttle parking spaces and transported over 2.5 million people to and from the Pikes Peak and Mt. Elbert shuttle lots in 2018. More information about parking at DEN and this project is available at FlyDenver.com.
