DENVER —March 14, 2021 — Due to blizzard conditions, travel to Denver International Airport (DEN) by motor vehicle is not advised at this time. Peña Boulevard is currently impassable with multiple disabled vehicles along the roadways. If it is absolutely necessary to travel to the airport, the RTD A-Line is the recommended mode of transportation. The A-line is currently operating with some delays. Check www.rtddenver.com for the latest updates from RTD.
Additionally, all airlines recently announced they are ceasing operations at DEN for the remainder of the day. However, DEN will remain open to continue serving those passengers and employees who are currently at the airport.
Airlines have not yet decided on schedules for tomorrow, but delays and some cancellations are expected. Passengers are strongly encouraged to check their flight status before coming to the airport tomorrow.
Once conditions improve, DEN snow removal crews will work around the clock to clear Peña Boulevard and all six runways in preparation for operations tomorrow.
Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. DEN is the primary economic engine for the state of Colorado, generating more than $36 billion for the region annually.
