DENVER – Aug. 20, 2019 – If you love aviation, airports and people, Denver International Airport (DEN) has a great opportunity for you. The airport is seeking volunteers for its Ambassador program, in which volunteers welcome and assist passengers with wayfinding, security and other airport information.
“The Ambassador program is a critical component of our customer service, providing passengers with the help they need to navigate the airport efficiently,” said Stacey Stegman, Senior Vice President of Global Communications, Marketing and Customer Service.
All volunteers will receive a special uniform and will receive complementary employee parking while volunteering at DEN as well as Limited Liability insurance. Volunteers must participate in an initial onboarding program that includes training about our airport and will receive ongoing updates and information throughout the year.
To volunteer, you must be able to pass an airport background check and obtain an airport ID. Additionally, you will need to commit to a minimum of 36 volunteer hours per quarter or a minimum of 24 hours if volunteering only weekend shifts.
If you are interested in joining the Ambassador team, please email [email protected] by September 6. You will then have an opportunity to attend an informational event at the airport to learn more about the program and requirements and individually speak directly with our customer service team.
DEN’s Ambassador program began when the airport opened in 1995 and currently has 350 volunteers.
Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. DEN is the primary economic engine for the state of Colorado, generating more than $36 billion for the region annually.
