Denver International Airport Offers Volunteer Opportunities for College and High School Students

Home

DENVER – April 15, 2022 – Denver International Airport (DEN) is excited to announce volunteer opportunities this summer for college and high school students looking to learn more about aviation and the airport while assisting our passengers. This is the inaugural year for the Teen Navigator and Collegiate Volunteer programs that will give students a unique opportunity to learn about the third-busiest airport.

“One of DEN’s goals is to create more educational and career opportunities for our community so we can provide training and better prepare potential future employees for working in the aviation industry,” said CEO Phil Washington. “These new programs will give volunteers an opportunity to learn more about the airport through specialized tours and training opportunities and help them network and build connections that will hopefully lead to a future career at DEN.”

Volunteers in both programs will provide information and directions to passengers in the Jeppesen Terminal. This is a fast paced, high-energy environment where you will meet people from all over the world. Volunteers will learn the ins-and-outs of one of the busiest airports in the world while helping hundreds of passengers during a shift.

Collegiate volunteers are required to be actively enrolled in a college program and must commit to a minimum of 12 volunteer hours per quarter at DEN. Applications for the Collegiate Volunteer Program are accepted year-round and orientations are held monthly. Apply online today.

The Teen Navigator Program is designed for high school students over the age of 15. Navigators are required to volunteer a minimum of 28 hours during the program and will have the opportunity to participate in educational tours and trainings to expand their knowledge of the aviation industry. All volunteers must be at least 15 years old at the date of application.

Applications for the 2022 Teen Navigator Program will be accepted through April 30, 2022. Space is limited so apply online today. The program will run June 1 through August 15, 2022 with the opportunity for participants to continue volunteering after program completion.

Both program participants receive free airport parking, concessions discounts and access to the wellness facility located at DEN.
