DENVER – Feb. 2, 2018 – Passengers at Denver International Airport (DEN) today got an overload of cuteness when football and puppies combined at the third-annual DEN Puppy Bowl.
The “pupular” event took place in the center of the Jeppesen Terminal on level 5 near passenger arrivals, and gave passengers the chance to pet, hold and snuggle seven adorable, adoptable puppies and one adult dog from the Dumb Friends League.
“Coloradans love dogs – so it’s no surprise that our popular Canine Airport Therapy Squad (CATS) program, events like the ‘Puppy Bowl’ and our pet-friendly facilities have made dogs of all sizes and breeds a staple of the airport experience in Denver,” said airport CEO Kim Day. “Personally, this is one of my favorite events, as it provides passengers and our community with a doggone good time and facilitates finding forever homes for some adorable (and competitive) pups.”
All the dogs featured at the DEN Puppy Bowl will be available for adoption on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Quebec Street Shelter in Denver on a first-come, first-serve basis. Interested adopters can visit DDFL.org or call (303) 751-5772 for more information.
