DENVER – Feb. 9, 2023 – Denver International Airport (DEN) and the Denver Animal Shelter (DAS) have teamed up once again for DEN’s annual Puppy Bowl. The event featured six precious puppies that are up for adoption and were streamed live on the DEN Facebook page. These furry friends had a wonderful time playing and taking breaks for water, and even enjoyed some well-deserved naps during half-time.
“It is a pleasure to work with Denver Animal Shelter on DEN’s annual Puppy Bowl,” DEN CEO Phil Washington said. “The Puppy Bowl has become a tradition that makes for a unique and memorable customer experience. It is an all-around win-win as passengers get an experience they’ll never forget and hopefully these puppies find their fur-ever home.”
“We’re so happy to have this Super Bowl-sized promotion of our deserving homeless hounds,” said Melanie Sobel, Director of Denver Animal Protection and the Denver Animal Shelter. “It’s important for our community to know how crucial their support is in maintaining the life-saving services and programs we offer, especially in light of what was a record number of animals that came through our doors in 2023.”
The six puppies featured at DEN will be available for adoption on a first-come, first-served basis starting Feb. 15. DAS is located at 1241 W. Bayaud Ave., Denver. Shelter hours on Saturday are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
DAS also has many other animals available for adoption; you can see them at DenverAnimalShelter.org.
