Parking Rates Change Starting May 14
DEN will increase parking fees at certain parking facilities and reduce the price of Premium Reserve parking starting May 14, 2025. The changes come as parking management and shuttle costs at DEN have increased by an average of 44.5 % over the last three years.

DEN is temporarily relocating 24 airline check-in/bag drop counters as construction continues on the Great Hall Program. Between April 9 and June 30, the counters at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal’s east and west sides will be temporarily moving from Level 6 to Level 5. These airlines will remain on Level 5 in their temporary operation through mid-2027.

DENVER – March 27, 2024 – Denver International Airport (DEN) CEO Phil Washington has been named a Norman Y. Mineta Leadership Fellow for 2024.
“The Mineta Transportation Institute is the best in class in terms of fostering the next generation of transportation professionals and STEM-focused workforce development. It’s an honor to be selected by this prestigious organization to be a 2024 Leadership Fellow and to be recognized for my contributions to the field of transportation over the past few decades,” said Washington. “Secretary Mineta was not only an exceptional leader, but also an exceptional person. He was an admired mentor in my life and we both shared a love of public service. This is a meaningful way that I can honor such a remarkable man.”
The Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) at San Jose State University seeks to increase mobility for all by improving the safety, efficiency, accessibility, and convenience of the nation’s transportation system through research, education, workforce development and technology transfer. It was founded by Norman Y. Mineta, the longest serving Secretary in the history of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The Mineta Leadership Fellows Program showcases influential leaders in transportation discussing their leadership philosophies, the challenges they have faced and how they have successfully built strong, inclusive teams by achieving consensus based on shared values and a vision for the future. The program noted that Phil Washington is considered to be a “titan in his field.”
Washington was also the 2021 commencement speaker for the Mineta Transportation Institute’s Annual Banquet and Convocation Ceremony for their Masters of Science in Transportation Management graduates.
