Bag Drop Service Reopens at the Transit Center

Home

Passengers can easily drop off their luggage for free before entering the airport

DENVER – Sept. 1, 2021 – Denver International Airport (DEN) is excited to announce the return of our free bag drop service at the Transit Center starting today, Sept. 1. The service allows passengers to print their boarding passes and check their bags before even going into the Terminal.

“This free service was suspended last year due to low passenger volumes as a result of the pandemic, said DEN CEO Phil Washington. “Now that passenger traffic is rebounding, we are excited to bring back this amenity to help make the journey through DEN more efficient and enjoyable, especially for those arriving by bus or train.”

Bag drop is a free service offered by DEN and is available for domestic flights on United, Delta, American, and Spirit airlines. Southwest passengers will be able to use the service starting Sept. 5. Passengers using bag drop must be checked in and have dropped off their bags at least 90 minutes before their flight. Airline bag fees are paid at the bag drop kiosk. Passengers with lap infants must go to the ticket counter for the child’s boarding pass, per airline regulations.

The service is available daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located on Level 1 of Westin Denver International Airport, just steps from the A-line commuter rail from downtown Denver.
