Description:

Denver International Airport (DEN) is looking to hire a Mustang Handler, who will be tasked with keeping our blue horse in pristine condition—from maintaining his signature sparkling blue shine to ensuring his glowing red eyes are always at their brightest.

Location:

In this position you can expect to work in-person at Denver International Airport (DEN) five days a week.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Facilitating, maintaining and coordinating Mustang’s photography schedule for media and fan photographs
  • Ensuring Mustang’s glowing red eyes are bright and clean
  • Regularly checking for chips and impurities caused by hail, snow, rain and wind
  • Washing Mustang weekly with only the finest distilled water and specialized organic cleaning substances to maintain a vibrant blue hue
  • Applying SPF moisturizer to Mustang’s coat and hooves to prevent cracking
  • Helping Mustang keep a watchful eye on all the drivers coming and going along Peña Boulevard. Mustang sees everything! So will you
  • Plane spotting with Mustang, as he loves watching aircraft take off and land and would appreciate a companion to admire the view with
  • Keeping the area around Mustang free of ice and debris. This includes shoveling snow, light weeding and trash pickup

The preferred candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

  • Previous experience with horses is a must
  • Must not be easily spooked
  • Willing to participate in DEN’s newly created horse whispering academy
  • Flexible schedule (weekdays, weekends, or evenings)
  • Comfortable being on a ladder, lift or crane no fear of heights
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be photogenic and comfortable having your picture taken
  • Strong photo and video skills to take photos of visitors
  • Confident speaking in front of a group with great storytelling skills
  • Ability to identify brands of airlines and types of airplanes
