Who We Are & What You'll Do

About DEN

Denver International Airport (DEN) is the third-busiest airport in the United States and one of the top ten busiest airports in the world, connecting our community globally through flight and business. DEN is the primary economic engine for the state of Colorado, generating more than $36.4 billion for the region annually and employing nearly 40,000 people. At DEN, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace. We celebrate individuality and uplift all races, ethnicities, gender identities, national origins, ages, abilities, religion, and LGBTQIA+ communities. We know that our diversity makes us stronger, and we strive to keep diversity, equity and inclusion at the center of all that we do.

The Culture & Strategy Division is looking for an Employee Engagement Administrator II who’s serious about making work better—for everyone. This is a chance to play a key role in driving employee engagement across a large, complex, and multi-site organization. If you're someone who understands the impact a strong workplace culture can have—and you're ready to build, implement, and improve real strategies that support it—this role is for you.

As part of the DEN Chief of Staff portfolio, the Culture & Strategy Division is responsible for leading DEN’s efforts in the following areas impacting the entire organization, including our stakeholders: (1) Strategy & Innovation; (2) Airport Access & Business Opportunity; and (3) Strategic Outreach & Engagement.

About the Role

The Employee Engagement Administrator II reports to the Manager of Employee Engagement Programs and plays a central role in shaping the employee experience. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about:

  • Helping design and deliver programs that actually move the needle. In this role, you’ll work closely with teams across the organization, presenting ideas, building buy-in, and keeping stakeholders aligned on progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitating cross-functional employee groups and showing up as a guiding voice in the room—even when the conversations are complex. Whether you're engaging frontline staff or senior leadership, you’ll help create space for honest dialogue and meaningful connection across our workforce.

In this role, you’ll help drive DEN’s culture forward by building real connections and bringing big ideas to life. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Build authentic relationships with people at every level, serving as a trusted partner and connector across the organization.
  • Keep things running smoothly behind the scenes by coordinating the logistics for our Employee Engagement Committee (EEC) and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team—everything from prepping agendas to tracking outcomes and ensuring people stay informed and aligned.
  • Help EEC subcommittees bring their ideas to life, including launching new programs and promoting events that foster visibility, inclusion and stronger employee participation.
  • Work side-by-side with the EDI Team to build on DEN’s Equity Plan—offering both strategy and hands-on support to help initiatives land with impact.
  • Operate key programs that shape the day-to-day employee experience, including peer recognition, award programs, anonymous feedback and our annual golf tournament.
  • Help plan and execute meaningful employee events—from cultural celebrations to casual connection-building activities—bringing people together in ways that matter.
  • Partner with internal teams to craft communication strategies that reach people—boosting awareness, encouraging action and sparking interest across DEN.
  • Use data to your advantage: track participation, measure outcomes, and identify opportunities to refine and grow our efforts—always with an eye toward long-term engagement and retention.
  • Create content and build tools that empower employees to take ownership of their own learning and involvement in EDI work.
  • Develop clear, scalable processes and SOPs to make sure our work stays consistent, organized, and easy to sustain as we grow.
  • Serve as a bridge to the Mayor’s Office of Social Equity and Innovation—collaborating on strategies that support DEN’s broader equity goals and strengthen citywide alignment.

What You'll Bring

We value diversity of ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, sexual identity, gender, religion, language, ability, and experience and exemplify this through the makeup of our team at all levels. You'll be right at home here if you cultivate strong relationships and push yourself, your work, the people around you and Denver to the next level.

You’re not just passionate about engagement—you understand at a deep level the value it brings to people and performance. Here’s what helps you stand out:

  • You know how to build trust and connect with people from all backgrounds and roles.
  • You’re a strong communicator who can write clearly, speak confidently, and shape content that gets attention.
  • You’re comfortable interpreting feedback, navigating sensitive topics, and coaching teams through challenges.
  • You have a track record of managing programs across complex, fast-moving organizations.
  • You’ve planned everything from small meetings to large-scale events—and you know how to keep the moving parts in order.
  • You’ve been part of equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts and understand what it takes to move from talk to action.
  • You bring emotional intelligence, a growth mindset, and creative thinking to the table.
  • You thrive in environments where priorities shift, and you can pivot without losing momentum.
  • You bring 3–5 years of experience in employee engagement, with hands-on involvement in EDI work.
