Youth Programs and Internships

DEN Academy was developed for students entering 7th-10th grades. The Academy is an introduction to the world of aviation through interactive learning, critical thinking and team projects. Through engagement with airport professionals, students gain both an up-close look and a broader perspective of the many aspects of aviation available to them as they prepare for their future.

Teen Navigator provides high school students who are 15 and older the opportunity to gain volunteer experience in the aviation industry. This 10-week summer volunteer program gives students the chance to develop their customer service skills through helping passengers navigate DEN while gaining experience and knowledge about airports.

DEN’s annual college internship program is designed to empower, impact and engage the workforce of the future. The program includes partnership with the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials and the Colorado Neurodivergent community. We offer various positions within DEN, including in operations, planning and design, business technologies, asset management, commercial relations, engineering and marketing.

Each summer, DEN has a variety of internships available  that are posted at denver.gov.

The Collegiate Ambassador program provides students with a volunteer opportunity to build customer service skills while assisting passengers in one of the busiest airports in the world. Volunteers will spend their time in a fun, fast-paced environment and will be able to engage with people from across the globe.
