Art at Den

A key component to her artistic mission is community-based art, knowing the transformative, healing power of expression through creative experiences. In 2023, Kristina was awarded the Sharon Prize Grant, where she was able to lead art workshops with critically ill children and their families at Brent’s Place. The work created together and in response to this shared experience was exhibited at Children’s Hospital in the Hamilton Gallery earlier this year.
She has exhibited her work in galleries throughout Colorado, including Artworks Center for Contemporary Art, Curtis Center for the Arts, Arvada Center for the Arts, The Art Base, RedLine, SeeSaw, BRDG Project, Bell Projects, and Bitfactory.
Her works are in private and public collections in France, California, New York, Kentucky and Colorado. She recently opened her new studio in Englewood, CO at SeeSaw Studios.
Kristina Davies (born Denver, Colorado) is a visual artist and educator who believes that creative expression is a form of self-discovery, transformation, and community-building. She uses paint, mixed media, fabric, collage, movement, gesture and music to express themes centered around identity, human connection and community. Primarily a painter, her large works are often non-objective, where her visual vocabulary is pure abstraction. At times, her paintings become figurative, and a narrative unfolds in a powerful way.
