Barbara Gal has been making pictures since the age of ten. Originally from New York and Indiana, she relocated to Colorado, received a Masters in Education from the University of Colorado, and taught photography and art at Columbine High School in Littleton, CO, for 26 years. Since her retirement, Gal has spent much of her time travelling the world with her camera, making artist books, teaching art teachers-to-be, and showing her work. She is a member of NEXT Gallery, and a founding member of 40 West Arts District.
45 Years in Colorado was a collection of photos taken from across the state of Colorado over the past 45 years by local photographer Barbara Gal. Various sites of Colorado were be represented in the exhibit including: Denver International Airport, Skyscrapers of Denver, Peru Creek Mines, West Line Light Rail, Denver’s Civic Center and more.
